Resourcefulness

It may not come as a surprise that being resourceful is your “secret weapon” to powering through goals and quickly adapting to new situations.

But resourcefulness isn’t about having everything – it’s about using the tools you already have for the results you want. Some of the most successful people started out with nothing but a little ‘out-of-the-box’ thinking to achieve the impossible.

In this episode, you’ll learn how resourcefulness leads you to success and why you already have the power to achieve everything you want (even if you can’t envision the path yet).

Show Highlights Include:

  • What five qualities make you a more resourceful person today (and why lacking them makes life more difficult). ([0:29])
  • The ‘Beach Time’ philosophy to stop thinking about the things missing in your life and start finding the luxury in simplicity. ([3:55])
  • Why resourcefulness is your most powerful mindset – and the ways you should be thinking to achieve everything you desire. ([8:12])
  • How Melissa Wood’s resourcefulness changed the world of fitness – and how to power through your obstacles with the same process. ([14:04])

Happy

We all have the desire to be happy. A happy life gives you confidence, success, and a purpose in everything you do. But embracing happiness can sometimes feel out of your control (especially when you’re facing tough times in life).

There is, however, a commitment you can make to being the best person you can be – and that starts with making the choice to be happy.

In this episode, you’ll learn why making the choice to be happy is the easiest part and how to live every day to the fullest (regardless of your circumstances).

Show Highlights Include:

  • How to use the “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” song for happier days (no matter what you’re dealing with). ([0:35])
  • Why holocaust survivor Eddie Jaku is the happiest man in the world – and how to live each moment without bitterness or resentment for your most fulfilling life. ([3:03])
  • Five lessons to restore your hope and remind you why making the choice to be happy is easier than you think. ([9:23])
  • The three things to do online right now for living a better life and seeing everyday as a gift ([10:25])

Judging Others

The lack of a unified message in the world has certainly made it easy to judge others (or even face judgment yourself). But making assumptions and shaming others doesn’t help you find common-ground in a problem, it only creates a stronger divide.

Having differences shouldn’t be about tearing each other down, but lifting each other up.

In this episode, you’ll learn why shame and judgment only makes you feel isolated and how to have the conversations that bring together a community for the greater good.

Show Highlights Include:

  • Why judging others keeps you from being a more impactful and compassionate person today. ([0:26])
  • How this teacher’s lack of judgement encouraged an avid bookworm – and the opportunities you miss out on when you’re too busy giving people labels. ([1:49])
  • The “Matthew Chapter 8” way to offer hope, unity, and an open heart, to those with different opinions (and why Jesus made it a profound principle). ([5:15])
  • The easiest way to find blessings in opposing views and bring together a divided and judgmental community. ([8:15])

Calm

Stress probably feels like an inevitable part of your everyday life (especially over the last year). But spending your days worrying about every little thing doesn’t make life better, it only makes you feel less in control.

Instead of waiting for stress to take a different approach in life, why don’t you?

In this episode, you’ll learn how to find peace in any stressful moment and why the most complicated questions often have the simplest answers.

Show Highlights Include:

  • Why managing your stress starts with two statements from Psychology Today. ([0:32])
  • How to stop feeling worried when things are out of your hands (and the one thing you always have control over). ([2:48])
  • The ‘Front Porch’ secrets for living a calmer life today (and why you shouldn’t worry about tomorrow). ([6:45])
  • What an African Violet plant reveals about finding beauty in unpleasant times and how to use peace with whatever comes your way. ([8:56])
