Quality 2.0

In today’s social media-run world, most people do everything in their power to appear perfect. Nothing has compromised quality more than this.

Why?

Even though perfection ought to be the standard, it’s impossible to achieve it. When you put perfection on a pedestal, you make it impossible to learn from your failures. And nothing enhances your quality as a person more than learning from your mistakes.

In this episode, you’ll discover why being a quality person today gives you an unfair advantage in anything you do. And how to build your quality little by little each and every day.

Listen now.

Show Highlights Include:

  • Why paying the price for quality now returns your “investment” in droves down the road ([0:49]
  • The insidious way the false appearance of perfection comprises quality (and why your imperfections make you a high-quality person) ([3:10]
  • Michael Jordan’s secret for failing your way to becoming the all-time greatest at what you do ([3:23]
  • The weird way to multiply your quality as a person by buying more expensive material items ([7:35]
  • The two words which appear in the bible 455 times (and how to become excellent at both of them) ([9:37]

Quality

Growing up, our parents drilled the importance of quality into our heads. But today, it seems like nobody teaches the value of quality anymore.

And it’s a shame because quality never goes out of style. In fact, becoming a quality person is the best way to improve your relationships, become happier, and serve your true purpose.

In this episode, you’ll discover why quality unlocks your best life. And the insidious reason quality doesn’t get taught today.

Listen now.

Show Highlights Include:

  • The “Extra Added Effort” technique for intoxicating every person you meet ([1:17]
  • The weird way eating off a garage floor makes you a better person (even if it’s not your garage) ([1:35]
  • How to leverage your most gut-wrenching failures to expand the quality of your life ([6:06]
  • How to minimize your risk of making mistakes before you even have a chance to make them ([6:26]

Overcoming

Everyone goes through seasons of gut-wrenching grief and misery. But great people aren’t defined by their successes, but by how they bounce back from failure.

And I have good news if you need to overcome any sort of trauma or negative emotions:

Overcoming holds no educational level. It holds no status. It takes no financial requirements. Instead, it requires a simple choice: helping others.

Helping others provides therapeutic benefits for you, and massive benefits for those you’re helping.

In this episode, you’ll discover how serving others helps you overcome anything you’re dealing with (even the tragic passing of a loved one).

Listen now.

Show Highlights Include:

  • How one simple thought instantly pulls you out of the dumps whenever life beats you down ([0:27]
  • The selfish reason for helping others and overcoming any mental turmoil you’re facing ([1:03]
  • The 3 words my dad told me as I stared at my first wife’s casket which saved me from breaking down (and how these 3 words will empower you too) ([1:14]
  • How to overcome the worst season of gut-wrenching grief in your life doing nothing more than helping others ([2:56]

Go, go, go. Spend, spend, spend. Buy, buy, buy.

Gratitude is the key to getting out of this rut.

In this episode, I discuss how consumer culture destroys happiness, why gratitude is in short supply today, and an exercise you can do to instantly become more grateful.

Show Highlights Include:

  • The consumer culture effect that makes you feel inferior to others and how to overcome it ([2:06])
  • The depressing reason that gratitude is disappearing in society ([3:04])
  • The counterintuitive way practicing humility brings you instant happiness ([5:15])

Mindset Series: Resilience

Everyone faces challenges at some point in their life. You may have faced more than others, but what truly matters is how you respond to those challenges. Your legacy is determined by how many times you get back up after you’ve been knocked down.

No one remembers the quitters.

In this episode, Dr. Rick discusses what you can learn from the failures of several well-known individuals, why opposition in your life is a good thing, and a trait you must have to become more resilient in the face of adversity.

Show Highlights Include:

  • JK Rowling’s profound lesson on being resilient ([3:05])
  • Why you shouldn’t fear opposition in your life ([7:10])
  • Without this, you will never be resilient and life will crush you ([8:31])
  • Here’s how you can build resilience when you feel like you can’t go on anymore ([10:30])
  • How you do this determines whether challenges will cause you to grow, or defeat you ([12:05]
