Anticipation

There is a powerful emotion that’s rarely talked about.

It can unleash a surge of positive energy, lift our spirits and inject vitality into our lives.

What’s that emotion?

Anticipation!

The euphoric feeling you have when you can’t wait a moment for something you’ve been longing for. From your first day in school, to going on your first date, to the day of your wedding.

It’s a one of a kind feeling.

But there’s a downside to anticipation: The waiting can result in worry, anxiety, stress and even depression.

So how can we cope with and overcome the negative effects of this powerful emotion? How do we position ourselves to.

In this episode, you’ll discover the tremendous power of anticipation and how you can use it to overcome even negative situations. I’ll also reveal how you can break free of the anxiety and worry that comes with anticipation.

Listen now.

Show Highlights Include:

  • How Carly Simon harnessed anticipation and used it to write a hit, Grammy-nominated single in just 15 minutes (and how you can too) ([02:35])
  • The most important attribute that protects you from the wrath of negative anticipation. ([04:32])
  • 2 steps you can use to break free of anticipatory anxiety. ([05:15])
  • The ‘perspective-shift’ technique you can use to change your reality from negative situations to positive outcomes. ([8:52])
  • Why you should reframe your thinking to anticipate better outcomes (even in times of crisis). ([12:11])

Competitive

If you want to stand head and shoulders above the herd and outperform your competitors in any market, you only need one thing:

A competitive edge.

Your competitive edge is the distinct quality that makes you superior to the rest.

And you know what?

There is a certain competitive edge that produces exceptional results if you develop it.

Some of the richest people in the world even believe this common practice to be their “X factor.”

Everyone can do it, but not everyone will.

In this episode, I’ll reveal this uncommon competitive advantage billionaires like Mark Cuban and Warren Buffet claim is the key to their success.

Listen now.

Show Highlights Include:

  • How you can create your own competitive advantage by borrowing these strategies from Chick-Fil-A, Apple and Amazon. ([02:07])
  • Why a ‘talentless’ Lucille Ball excelled in the film industry and cemented her name in television history (and how you can do the same in your life). ([05:15])
  • The X-factor these two billionaires say results in an uncommon competitive edge (you don’t even have to be a billionaire to do this). ([07:27])
  • Why Warren Buffet spends less than $4 on breakfast (and how his unique diet philosophy can increase your chances of living longer) ([09:11])

In this episode, you’ll discover how today’s world discourages important life skills. You’ll also learn why they’re important and how to use those skills to live up to your full potential, build a successful life, career and businesses.

Listen now.

  • How unpopular teachers help us imbibe important life skills (even with their unbearable methods). ([06:38])
  • The commitment technique used in the 1950s to build a profitable business (and you can use it even if you’re heavily disadvantaged). ([12:52])

Basics

People make success to be too complicated. They read thousands of books searching for the hidden secret only to be more confused.

Like anything else, success is simple if you look at the basics.

All coaches that created winning teams knew the basics.

They employed the basics to their teams like clockwork until they won championships.

In this episode, you’ll discover the basics of success that all successful coaches used to lead NFL teams to victory that you can use in everyday life.

Listen now.

Show highlights include:

  • Three key ingredients to sustained success that Superbowl coaches use to create winning teams. ([6:00])

  • The Navy Seals secret to leading powerful teams to overcome any obstacle in life ([12:00])
  • How Vince Lombardi won 5 NFL championships (even with so many odds stacked against him) ([15:20])

Code 2.0

Imagine going through your day without a set of values guiding your behavior. The slightest temptation can blow you off course at any given time.

When we don’t live by a particular set of values, our conduct will fluctuate and become inconsistent.

How can we fix that? By having a code of conduct.

A code of conduct is a compass for life. It keeps us headed in the right direction. And with it, we know exactly what we’re not willing to compromise.

In this episode, you’ll discover why you should build a set of values and a code of conduct that will help you build and maintain success.

Listen now.

Show Highlights Include:

  • Why Starbucks, Kellogg’s and Helwett-Packard make their employees abide by a code of conduct. ([1:28])

You can’t pull yourself out of a rut when you’re stuck in your own head.

In this episode, you’ll discover how to experience more joy in any environment and win the day.
